Meet The Owner & Chef
My name is Shantell Brown and I’m the owner and head Chef of Casimir Bakery. I like to make people happy with the food I make, and desserts are the food that makes people the happiest. This Bakery has been my lifelong dream. I am a classically trained chef who studied baking and pastry arts and food business management at The Culinary Institute of America, and I want to use my skills to inspire joy.
Meet The Woman Behind the Name
Casimir Gordon
Around the time I decided to open my own bakery, my grandmother got diagnosed with a rare breast cancer. I made a promise to myself that if she beat her cancer, I would name the bakery after her. Ever since we found out she was cancer-free, I put all my energy into making my promise a reality. She is the kindest, most thoughtful, and welcoming person I know, and this business will be a part of her lasting legacy.
